Important-Another BOI Reporting Update and A Temporary Win for Small Business

As we mentioned in our email to you yesterday, on December 23, 2024, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit issued a stay regarding the nationwide injunction blocking all enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA). This decision reinstated all CTA filing requirements.

There has been another update. Late yesterday, the full Fifth Circuit Court reversed the three-judge panel, reinstated the injunction and once again halted enforcement of the BOI reporting until the expedited appellate review is completed.

At this point, we recommend gathering the information needed to complete the BOI reporting, even if you choose to delay filing until the pending litigation is resolved.
